The OCIMF is a voluntary association of oil companies having an interest in the shipment and terminalling of crude oil and oil products. The aim is to identify safety and environmental issues facing oil tanker, barge, terminal and offshore marine operations.

Oil Companies International Marine Forum – Offshore Vessel Inspection Database (OCIMF OVID) is an inspection protocol for oil, chemical and gas tankers that has been successfully operating since 1998.
